Interaction of investigative and operative units of the National Police of Ukraine during the conduction of secret investigative (search) actions

Abstract

The authors have conducted the research of the issue on the interaction of operative and investigative units during the conduction of secret investigative (search) actions grounded on empirical data. The concept of interaction of operative and search units during solving, detecting and investigating crimes has been highlighted; the main factors that determine the necessity of such interaction have been analyzed; the basic principles of this interaction have been formulated.

The authors have defined the basic regulatory acts, which guide the activities of investigative and operative units for the organization of interaction, and the problematic issues that arise in the activities of investigative and operative units during the conduction of secret investigative (search) actions in the process of investigation and solution of crimes. The main procedural possibilities of operative and investigative units have been characterized. The authors have analyzed the methods that assist to improve the quality and efficiency of their work in modern conditions.

The authors have concluded about the necessity during the conduction of secret investigative (search) actions by an investigative and operative unit to interact according to the principles of legality, constant close contact and exchange of information, rationality, optimization of interaction measures.
